US History, composed of text from various authors on WikiBooks, is an excellent source of American History. Covering the years from before Columbus to very recent times, it describes many of the great events that have occurred in the country’s history. The text does a wonderful job detailing these events and because it provides a comprehensive review of everything, it has been a featured book on the Wiki site for the last few years. It is divided into seven sections for ease of use, each section representing a chunk of several decades that are categorized together because of various similarities. Using this text in a classroom setting will provide students a greater understanding of the history of the United States.
